I sadly broke my trusty Mason Pearson comb that I have had for 10+ years, but was happy that I could replace it with my dream (monogrammed) combs from Officine Universelle Buly. I visited the store on my first trip to Paris in 2012, and it has held a certain magic for me since then. The lovely packing that arrived recreated some of that special experience. I hope to have these new combs for at least another 10 years.

this is the last of my paris content – i promise! on our last night, we had an absolutely wonderful and unforgettable meal at frenchie. because our seating was at 9am, these pictures turned out a bit dark.

i treated myself to a beautiful pair of sandals from the summer sales from 24sevres. i usually don’t expect much from sale packaging, and was delighted when my purchase came with a personalized box and a paris pop up. oh and the shoes are pretty great too.

in addition to my gorgeous astier de villatte pottery, my other big purchase from paris last fall was a classic celine box bag. i went specifically looking for this mint green, and found the last one at the celine store on avenue montaigne.
i was waiting until spring to use the bag, but something about the cool shade feels right in this crisp weather. the quality is stunning, and it holds just what i need on a daily basis.

i’m finally getting around to loading some of my vacation pictures from august. every time i go back, i am in awe of paris’s unspeakable beauty. i still dream of being able to live there one day, even if its only for a few months.
i stayed at the hotel thoumieux. i can’t believe it has been 5 years since my first post about this place.
liquor bottles as window decoration. why not?
even groceries look better in french.
the city is possibly even more beautiful in the rain.

even though i have stayed in the 7th arrondissement before, this was my first time visiting michel chaudun’s chocolate shop. i went there for the famous pave box, and of course left with even more. even though i don’t smoke, i love how the chocolate box is shaped like a cigarette box. tres chic.
pave box. make sure to keep refrigerated and eat within 10 days. this was clearly not an issue for me, given that this picture was taken about 15 minutes after i left the shop.

i happened to pick up a copy of french elle decor when i was in paris in september, and found myself struck by this lovely parisian apartment. i recycled the magazine, but not before scanning these pages. this home is both clean yet warm, and chic yet very livable. who wouldn’t want to soak in that tub for hours?
i’m considering ways to change up my apartment decor slightly, and i think this is a great place to start.
also, i don’t speak any french, so i couldn’t tell you if this article is interesting or not. for those of you who do, i hope it is interesting!

on my recent trip to france, i spent an amazing five days in one of the most magical cities in the world – paris. my previous trip to paris has already been documented, so i thought i would limit this post to a few of my favorite shots.
