well-tailored blazers are definitely a splurge in my closet, but they are one of my staples. since i have been wearing my navy billy reid dinner jacket nonstop, i thought it would make sense to add another navy blazer to the mix. enter my smythe blazer.
i love the garnet strips down the sides and the double vent in the back. the cut of smythe jackets is absolutely amazing.

suddenly all the corner stores in nyc are filled with gorgeous peonies. i have been buying a few stems each week to liven up my apartment. they also add such a subtle but amazing scent.

i had a lovely dinner at public with two friends last saturday.
the bar was a perfect mix of rustic and refined. i love the candles on the brick wall!
fancy champagne cocktail (actual name).
dark chocolate mousse covered in salted caramel and whipped cream. yup. it was as amazing as it sounds.
the bathrooms have these great little soaps to take as a souvenir. i will definitely be going back soon.

i loved all the prints for the dvf for gap kids line, so i was especially delighted when this girls top (size XL) fit! for those of you wondering, i wear a 6-8 in women’s tops.

one of the rituals i miss the most from philly is going to la colombe every morning. luckily, there is a la colombe now in nyc, perfect for those days when i am craving a taste of philly coffee.

i recently realized that i wear the same five pairs of earrings for basically every occasion in my life.
for work: chanel black studs, tiffany pearl studs, and custom yellow quartz drops. for evenings out: red silver drops (the stone is not semi-precious), and green silver and jade round earrings.
i had to include a detailed shot of these, because they are my favorites. they are from rajasthan, india, and were a wonderful gift from my mother.
