i dropped by journelle on the upper east side last weekend, and i was thoroughly charmed. the sales assistants were lovely, and each fitting room was outfitted with everything one needs when trying on lingerie (including chocolate!).
i came home with these. beautiful lingerie is truly one of life’s pleasures.

i just got back from an amazing trip to india and asia, and i am in the process of sorting through my pictures. i thought i would start my recap with the awesome virgin atlantic clubhouse at heathrow, where i connected on my way to and from mumbai.
the clubhouse had a full menu to order from. i chose the eggs florentine.
great mid-century decor in the lounge.
this was hands down the best part – the beautiful and impeccably clean showers. a good shower fully refreshed me, especially after 24 hours of travel. 
this was my first time flying virgin atlantic, and after the experience, it definitely will not be my last.

since the berries in nyc are returning to their winter state (i.e. they taste like cardboard), i thought i would switch my baking back to chocolate. i had never made truffles before, and it turned out to be pretty easy, albeit messy. i used this recipe, and coated one batch in cocoa powder and other batch in dark chocolate.

i broke my shopping ban when i saw these j.crew etta pumps in navy silk. the pattern is subtle enough for work, yet matches with all the colors i typically wear (navy, cream, and emerald green).
sadly, they are going back to the store because my arches are too high for the style. i just thought i would snap a few pictures to remember them by.
