We had a wonderful time in Maine, and the food certainly did not disappoint. Here is part 1 of some of my favorite meals. The dark ones at the beginning are from a wonderful dinner at Fore Street.

These were also excellent, and 4 of the 5 by women authors.

We took our first real vacation of 2020 to Maine, and stayed for a few nights in Portland at the amazing Press Hotel. I couldn’t recommend it more. The service was impeccable, the rooms were beautiful, and the location was great for walking around downtown. I can’t wait to go back.

Worked off of this recipe and ate it every night for dinner last week with some good, crusty sourdough.

The little floral painting came home with me. Can you spot it?

I have been wanting to make these cookies for so long, and finally got around to it this weekend. I added vanilla to the white dough and espresso to the brown dough, which gave the cookies just a bit of oompf.

They were perfect for a little tea time.
