We had a wonderful time in Maine, and the food certainly did not disappoint. Here is part 1 of some of my favorite meals. The dark ones at the beginning are from a wonderful dinner at Fore Street.

We took our first real vacation of 2020 to Maine, and stayed for a few nights in Portland at the amazing Press Hotel. I couldn’t recommend it more. The service was impeccable, the rooms were beautiful, and the location was great for walking around downtown. I can’t wait to go back.

We took a long weekend trip to the Smoky Mountains, a place I haven’t been since I was a kid. We rented the most adorable cabin, which was perfect for drinking wine and watching fireflies at night.

took a week to get out of nyc and dip my toes in the cold cape cod water. never have i been more grateful for this luxuries of salt water, sand, puppies, and reading in a hammock. when the world is on fire, it makes you think hard about your priorities and how you are going to do more, and to do better, to make this a place future generations want to be.

the most important part of our recent trip to napa was probably what we ate and drank. everywhere we went, even the most casual diner, served dishes that blew our minds. perhaps it is all the access to fresh, local food? i mean where else in america can you get perfectly ripe strawberries in december? below are some shots of our favorite dishes.

we spent a lovely and decadent long weekend in napa in december. we stayed at the amazing carneros resort and spa, and never wanted to leave the property. every room is a little cottage, and there is such amazing foliage around every corner.

summer is officially over. i was going through my pictures and realized i wanted to post these from an early morning clamming session at the cape. the haze and low light made these turn out so beautifully.
