I forgot to post these snaps of two of my favorites in Milan – Marchesi for sweets (and breakfast!) and La Via del Te for tea. The strawberry cake from Marchesi might be one of the best cakes I have ever eaten, and the most beautiful.

I finally got around to making this recipe, and it was a winner. Although it has a decent number of steps, it came together pretty quickly. I will definitely be making it again.

I splurged on toiletries from Santa Maria Novella, handmade books and notecards, and a few odds and ends for the kitchen.
