during the first week of may, tiffany painted parts of new york tiffany blue to celebrate reed krakoff’s first jewelry collection for the brand. i didn’t manage to spot any blue taxis or metrocards, but i did walk by this bodega on the way to the theater district one night.
evidently all the flowers were hand made by the tiffany’s creative team. such a fun way to welcome spring.

you can see from my last post that i have been a bit obsessed with fresh flowers lately. after watching a million youtube videos, including this one that i love, i decided to try my hand at making proper bouquets. i bought three bouquets at the chelsea flower market and this is what i ended up with.

if you are looking for a luxe yet low key manicure/pedicure in the flatiron area, i highly recommend sundays nail salon. while it is not as cheap as most nyc nail places, the calming decor, the complimentary tea, and the soothing guiding meditation tracks make it a very special experience.
best of all? the salon is completely nontoxic.

in my last post, i neglected to mention what i bought when i went to the sezane store. the gorgeous green silk top is perfect for work or a date night. and the jacket is soft, comfortable, and absolutely stunning. all the work is done by hand. i have never seen this type of quality at this price point.
even the buttons are a lovely enamel. i love this attention to detail.

over the holidays, i finally made it to the sezane store in nolita. for those of you who are not familiar with the brand, sezane is a direct-to-consumer women’s clothing and accessories company started in paris. because there is no middleman, the brand is able to better control quality, production, and price point.

for those of you in nyc, i would highly recommend a trip downtown to see the louis vuitton “volez, voguez, voyagez” exhibit. every room has a different theme that mixes the old and new. the best part? it is totally free. probably the best deal you will ever get from lv.

summer is in full swing here in the city, and the union square greenmarket is ripe (pun intended) with amazing fruits and vegetables. using a few recent wonderful meals as inspiration, i made the below for dinner. the recipes are linked as well.

i feel like i am always on a quest to find summer sandals that i walk miles in. my two latest contenders are the beautiful pairs below from chloe and k.jacques. so far, the chloes are more comfortable (surprising, because i was worried the knots would cause blisters) but maybe the leather on the others just needs to soften up.

now that the weather is finally warming up here in nyc, i’m so excited about the light and fresh fruits and vegetables that will be stocked at the farmer’s market. i did take advantage of a recent cold rainy night to make one of my go-to comfort dishes – a south indian style vegetable curry.

while running errands this weekend, i dropped by a new french cafe and bakery in my neighborhood called chanson. completely charmed by the decor and friendly staff, i picked up a few treats to try out. of course i can’t remember the name of the pastry, but it was filled with hazelnut cream and was one of the best pastries i have had outside of france.
