We had an incredible dinner in London at the Ambassadors Clubhouse, a sister restaurant to Gymkhana (another favorite). I’ll be thinking about that dinner for months.
Harry Potter Studio Tour

One of my bucket list items was taking a studio tour of the old Harry Potter sets outside London. It was so cool to see so many iconic sets and props from the movie in real life.

We stayed at the Haymarket Hotel during our trip, and loved it. The Firmdale Hotel brand is so distinctive and fun.

during the aforementioned work trip, i had the pleasure of staying at the rosewood. while i didn’t love the location, the hotel was absolutely gorgeous. my room was generously sized and i definitely spent many hours in that tub.

london classics

the last bit of my london shopping included these two classics. first, the louis vuitton train case is something i have had my eye on. i’ve seen people use it for home decor, for travel, and some even as a bag. i’m afraid to ruin its pristine condition so it is currently sitting out on display. once i get over that though, i think it will be a great companion for my travels.
second, i have had an hermes scarf on my list for so long but never took the plunge. that was, however, until i saw this stunner of a pattern.
i was playing around with the scarf and realized that i could fashion it into a bag, reminiscent of this one that i love but this is way too expensive for that it is.

i’ve always had a soft spot for chanel costume jewelry, and i invested in a few key pieces while i was in london. the necklace is more subdued that i would have expected to choose, but the station style is perfect for work and going out.

while in london, we were fortunate to visit the alaia exhibit at the design museum. what struck me the most was that some of these dresses were 40 years old, yet you could easily imagine someone wearing them today.

high tea at the berkeley

i spent the long weekend in london with some dear friends. we went to the “pret-a-portea” at the berkeley hotel, where all the cakes were inspired by this season’s fashions. the tea room was gorgeous and light-flooded, and the service was impeccable.
