polyvore to reality

when i make polyvore boards, i try to keep in mind the items i have in my closet (so i can use them as a guide for getting dressed). here is how i would recreate the items from my last post. the only item that i am missing is a pair of espadrilles, so i swapped them out for ballet flats.

brunch look

one dress, two ways

i picked up this dress on a recent trip to new york from comptoir des cotonniers, and thought i would play around styling it a few ways. i envision the one on the left for a fancy sunday brunch, and the one on the right for taking a long walk or shopping.

what’s in my bag

i love it when others feature what they keep inside their handbags, so i thought that i would do the same.

my bag: celine asymmetric duffle

contents: umbrella (top), striped j.crew makeup bag, ray-bans, pencil pouch, letterpressed notebook (middle row), camera, hair clip, ipod, bag hook (from the container store), iphone, marc jacobs wallet, lifesavers (bottom row)

a shot of what is in my makeup bag. i’m not a big makeup girl, so this is all i really use for everyday.

kate spade cases.

this is the most that i would ever carry with me. but on most days, i just have my phone, wallet, keys, and sunglasses. i also try to remember to bring my purse hook because i hate putting my bags on the ground (ewwww).
