Playworld: This book had a lot of great press, and I think it was just fine. It was about 200 pages too long. Strong writing. Amazing Grace Adams: Also just fine. The main story didn’t grab me that much. Also why are there soooo many books about middle-age women having breakdowns? The Float Test: A moving story about a family. I liked it. Killers of a Certain Age: Very fun, strong writing and a captivating story. Food Person: Trying way too hard. I rarely find it convincing when a male tries to write a female protagonist, and the author was really showing his work with all the detail about the cookbooks.
