kent hairbrushes are easily the best brushes i have ever used. i made sure to stock up when i was in london, because they can be difficult to find in the states. i use the round brush to straighten my hair, and the flat brush to add shine. i also use the wide tooth mason pearson brush when i get out of the shower to detangle my wet hair.
saks sale finds

i tried to be good this year and stay away from the sales, but i could not resist these when saks put their sale on an additional 25% off. the total for both pairs wasn’t even half of what most jimmy choos cost full price.
my philosophy when shopping sales is if i wouldn’t buy it full price, i shouldn’t buy it on sale. luckily, both pairs are classic and comfortable, and i will have them for years to come.

dovetail on the upper west is one of those restaurants that it typically outside of my price range. imagine my delight when i found out that they have a three-course menu on sunday evenings for $52. warning: lots of pictures ahead. the food was just too pretty to not take pictures of everything.

while i was in london, i had afternoon tea with two good friends at sketch. the decor was absolutely incredible – every room was decorated completely differently. and the bathrooms were individual eggs, sitting atop an underground bar. oh, and the food was pretty great too.

i recently returned from a business trip to london. this was my first time traveling for work, and i had a great time. i stayed at the south place hotel, which had great decor and amazing service.
